Last night we went to an absolutely lovely soiree at the Hotel Roger Williams on 31st and Madison. It was co-hosted by CeCi New York, Francesca Abbracciamento and flowers were provided by Fleurs. Kathi Littwin took party pictures and I’ll put some more up soon so you can see how fantastic the space looks. The Hotel Roger Williams is a terrific location for wedding blocks because it’s modern and comfortable, but with rooms that you can actually breath in. They have a small restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch, making it a great gathering spot, and in the evenings, it’s a sexy little stop for a cocktail. Depending on the time of year, blocks can be extremely reasonable and they LOVE weddings there. Ask for Neil or Liza!

The party last night was held on this gorgeous terrace connected to one of their suites. If you are looking to host a brunch, cocktail, or rehearsal dinner,they have an amazing suite on the 4th floor with a terrace that can be completely canopied in the event of rain at no extra cost. For our purposes last night it was fantastic! 
The bar was out on the deck and it was an ideal number of people to really get to no one another. Brooke from CeCi was there and I literally chatted her ear off about everything but weddings. I met some great people from Frost Lighting, got to touch base with Josh from Elan Artists and saw Mel Barlow, who I haven’t seen in a while. Get the wedding planning crowd a few mimosas and the party gets pretty lively! From Kathi Littwin and Jessy both being recent newlyweds to online dating- the conversation was all over the place. Hair was the topic of the night as we chatted about styles, colorists and my hatred of blow outs. While I lamented to Mel about how much I hate to blow dry my hair I was delighted to overhear a couple of the girls telling the photographer Carlos Varela that he “has hair like Uncle Jessy’s on Full House”. That Mayra into a whirlwind of jokes and led to a ton of women stroking his hair….. It must be fantastic being a dude in such a female run industry! Here’s a pic of Carlos and his hair.
