Way back when, when temps were warm and summer weekends away were still the norm, a bride crossed my path … and she knocked my socks off. I’ve gotta tell you, something must have been in the air this year because almost every one of my brides was so super organized that I contemplated asking them to help me plan my wedding! But of course, the ones who were not so organized sure did keep me up at night. Ladies, you know who you are :)
Michelle Laryea was among the ranks of brides that reminded me why I am so dearly in love with Microsoft Excel. So sweet and creative, Michelle knew just what she wanted and selected a fabulous cast of characters to help achieve it. The ceremony took place at the historic Riverside Church in Harlem… the reception venue was stunning – the famed Venetian Catering Hall located in Garfield, New Jersey. The gorgeous florals you will see below were courtesy of our beloved Verde (they blew me away in person), music was provided by DJ Sonido Con Clase and lighting/draping of the reception space by Evention. Michelle left no stone unturned down to the particular fold of the napkins, the delicate orchid at each table setting and a host of DIY’s to complete her look and tie it all together. I am a huge fan of branding your day from start to finish, and this bride pulled it off effortlessly. I am a nut about details so you can imagine how much fun we had with this one!
This great couple started the wonderful day in uptown NYC and then partied into the night Jersey style. It was fun, classy and yep… sassy.
