NJ Rehearsal Round-Up: The Melting Pot

At this point you have likely put the wheels in motion for your wedding day and hopefully the details are slowly but surely falling into place. For those of you with early/mid 2010 nuptials, it might be wise to start thinking about your rehearsal dinner. Whether you choose to use the rehearsal dinner as a prelude to the main event or to experiment with a completely different style, this event is an important aspect of any wedding. Long after the bride-to-be has picked out her bouquet, first dance song, etc., the rehearsal dinner often seems to be an afterthought.

Details can be sorted out a bit closer to the date, but the smartest thing you can do is at least decide on a location, date and time. Once you know approximately how many people you will have and the general location (will you be coming from the ceremony rehearsal nearby??), then comes the fun part. Pick a few places you may be interested in and stop in for a meal, speak to the manager or simply give them a call. Inquire if they have private rooms or if they can section off an area of the restaurant, or maybe you just need a few tables and prefer to be in the mix with other patrons.

Perhaps you and your beau (or beau-ette) have a favorite Italian restaurant in the area, or there is a new Sushi spot you have heard is amazing, with so many options out there I encourage you to take a closer look and I’d LOVE to help! We’ll be making some stops throughout the Garden State as I give you the quick what’s what on some possible rehearsal dinner venues. First stop: The Melting Pot in Westwood, NJ!

The restaurant sets itself apart in that it offers a complete fondue
experience for appetizers and dessert and tableside cooked entrees.
The main dining room seats 65, while the private party room can
accommodate 25-32 guests and the semi-private party room seats 14-16 guests. Also, the private party room is equipped with a drop down screen on which the bride and groom can share slideshows or videos.

Available on the website is a complete list of menu options to choose from. Menu packages range from $39.95 to $64.95 per person and there are also several bar & beverage service options. The Melting Pot truly is a unique rehearsal dinner location that will offer you and your guests a fun and festive way to celebrate your pending nuptials.

For more information, check out The Melting Pot website or better yet… stop in for a fix of gooey goodness.
