September 27th, 2010 — Attire & Style
I quite literally swoon over Don Draper…Not Jon Hamm, just Don Draper. And I’m confident it’s not his philandering ways that have won me over, but the cut of that man in his very well tailored suits. Truth be told, there is simply nothing sexier than a man in well cut suit …. and nothing worse than the way a guy looks in a cheap one. So, while a lot of the attention is spent on bridal attire (and deservedly so), I think it’s good to put some time and money into what the man at the other end of the aisle will look like.
Last week I paid a visit to Michael Andrews Bespoke, a very remarkable custom tailor design studio in the heart of Soho. If men had “groom showers”, this is where your man (and everyone else with taste and styles) would want to have theirs. Michael Andrews recognized that having a suit made to order was a luxurious experience and created a masculinely appropriate atmosphere to enjoy it in. The design studio not only offers a gorgeous array of suits, ties, accessories and shoes for the style discerning man, it is also a stunning, fun place to do some shopping and to bring your friends.
Michael Andrews has fitted the place with a 12′ Oak bar from a New England pub stocked with all sorts of fine scotches and other cocktails. Flat screens are all around so no one will miss any sports or important news scrolls and there are plush leather stools and tables for your hubby to be and his entourage to set up shop while they debate what lining, button hole details, and pocket angle will make his suit just right.

And for the rest of the groomsmen? Well, you and your fiance and pick from over 100 silk fabrics to create custom ties for the wedding party to create a picture perfect and stylish wedding party. The place is exploding with great groomsmen gifts ranging from cufflinks to tie pins to an assortment of highly stylish socks. (Head to toe, right?)
The story behind the store is nearly as interesting and the place itself. Michael Andrews was a lawyer with a pechant for nice suits. He hunted for years for just the right tailor before deciding to simply set up shop on his own. While working his legal job he studied the trade and brought in some master craftsmen to create a world class experience for all of their clients. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves, but with a starting price of around $900, this is a must have budget line for your groom to be.

I completely agree! Sometimes the men are left out a bit and they should be pampered just as much as the bride!
Oh totally right! The wedding is not only about the bride, but iis also made for the groom. Thanks.
