I’m back baby! After a whirlwind wedding weekend in Plattsburgh, NY and an ABSURDLY relaxing honeymoon in Turks & Caicos, it ‘s nice to be home. Waiting for pics from the photog but then I promise to recap all the tented madness for you.

In the meantime, as I continue my relentless pursuit for all things fabulous and bridal (or potentially bridal) in NJ, I bring you…. the Sugar Flower Bakery! Yumdelioso! Who doesn’t love a good old fashioned cookie that gives you the warm and fuzzies. What is truly awesome about Sugar Flower (aside from the delish offerings of course), is the concept and passion behind it all. It’s about remembering the kid in all of us, the kid who used to go batty and jump up and down with joy just for a moment of cookie ecstasy. Tell me, is it wrong that I still do this?

Sugar Flower Bakery is located in Hoboken, NJ, just a stone’s throw from NYC and a quick little ride on the Path train. For those who choose not to venture across the Hudson, what’s really great is that they will ship to you! Not sure about you but I would LOVE to open my door on a chilly autumn morning to find a box of cookies on my doorstep (hubby hint). These make awesome favors… picture a mini-sampler in a simple and classic brown paper bag or a selection of your faves tucked into a petite box featuring a your monogram, or perhaps tied with a ribbon in your wedding accent color. But nothing is “cookie cutter” here (luv it!), they can work with you to create the perfect selection and presentation for whatever baked goodness you choose.

I love a photo booth, so I just was giddy with fun and cheese factor at the awesome photos that Polite Weddings offers with their photobooths! They are more like photo stations, actually, with backdrops, and it appears, a costume closet o’ props to make your photo station something really fun, funny and memorable for you and your guest. Apparently the booth looks like a space robot. (This is taken directly from their FAQ page). You can choose from a variety of backgrounds on their main site (politeinpublic.com) and they can even work with you to design a “set” or “character” specifically. The images are gorgeous and they pretty much are live updated to a website and can print out 4 x 6 for your guests- making it an awesome favor! You can hire them in NY, LA, Miami and more! We did a site visit to Wave Hill on Friday and as I was wandering through the gift shop (in search of the Restrooms- so much traffic!!!) I saw these adorable Eggling Favors.  Crack them like an egg and a little plant grows in each one.  Only after we got back to the office did I realize that Martha Stewart had them in her latest issue as a favor at her featured wedding.  They are totally adorable and bring something a little green into the world when your wedding is over!
