I just had to take a break from blogging and give some time to myself. So in this post, I am going to explain you why I stopped blogging from 2016 to mid-2017. Here are the reasons:

It was Too Time Consuming

Too much to handle

Too much to handle

It is no secret that blogging takes up too much time. When I started working job, it was becoming way too much for me to handle. I had started blogging with the purpose of spending my spare time in a productive manner. But the last thing I wanted to do after coming back from my work was to again work on my blogs.

It Became A Compulsion

I had never thought that it would become such a big priority when I had first started blogging. I was, in fact, overwhelmed by the response I got. And it became a compulsion to post something new every week or on a regular basis. I could have come up with some random content every week, gone with the trends, throw in some pictures with small write-ups, but I started realizing that this was not my style. I have a passion for writing and the compulsion and pressure to post my blogs started keeping me from enjoying my passion.

Too Much Time On Social Media

One of the most stressful parts of blogging is keeping up and being constantly available on social media. I was constantly liking back the person’s’ pictures who liked mine, I was following people on social media because I felt like I had to.

I Was Totally Addicted To My Phone

Me on the phone

Me on the phone

Each time I picked up my phone, I felt like I was doing it for the blogs and it became really frustrating. I lost the sense of actually being present in reality and was lost in my cell phone all the time. This made me feel distant from the people around me, at one point of time.

I Lost My Purpose

New Beginning

New Beginning

First, I would like to share with you why I started blogging on the first hand:

  • To satisfy my passion of writing
  • To share my skills and experiences with you
  • To encourage and motivate you for a more successful life

But after a while, blogging became about increasing my followers, keeping up with the trends and social media and coming up with new content constantly. At least after I read these websites, I couldn’t stop myself from writing my experiences and I had to understand my purposes. Read Websites For Inspiration When I Am Organizing A Wedding.

Why I Got Back To Blogging

Now that I have told you the legitimate reasons why I stopped blogging and went for a recess, I would like to tell you why I got back, the reasons being pretty simple:

  • Writing is like my cure to everything and blogging became an irreplaceable part of me.
  • I missed my followers (you guys!) so much and wanted to inspire, motivate and entertain them again.

It has never been better before, I have now learned to manage my time according to my job and other priorities and make sure that I still have time to blog (in a relaxed way!) I see these people working 9 to 5 jobs and still having amazing blogging sites and get inspired. If they can do it, so can I!
